Notice: Museum Re-opening

The Plainsman Museum's Main Building will be re-opening to the public on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 under the guidance of the most recent directives from the Center for Disease Control and the Central District Health Department.

As directed by the CDC and Central District Health Department, we are asking that visitors support the museum staff and volunteers in the following changes:

  • If you feel sick or have a fever, please do not visit the Plainsman Museum.

  • Please wear a cloth or medical mask, particularly if you are in contact with others where it is difficult to maintain a 6-foot distance.

  • Please maintain at least 6 feet between yourself and other visitors, staff or volunteers not in your party.

  • A plexiglass barrier has been added to the admissions desk.

  • Wash your hands and use the hand sanitizer station upon entering and leaving the building.

Tuesday - Friday.................... 9 am - 4 pm

Saturday ................................ 9 am - 2 pm

Closed Sundays and Mondays

Closed July 4th, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, and New Year's Day

Senior Citizens (age 60+)..................     $5.00
Students (age 5 - 16).........................      $4.00
Under 5................................................    Free

 DIRECTIONS

From I-80 take Exit #332

Go north (toward Aurora) for 3 Miles.
Museum is on east side of Highway 14 (aka 16th St.)

From Intersection of  Hwy 34 & 14 in Aurora

Turn south on Highway 14 for approximately 1/2 mile.

Museum is on the east side of the street.
